JEANNE HENRIETTE BONZON was born July 21, 1802 in La Sarraz, Vaud, Switzerland, and died between 1840 and 1850 in New Sewickley township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She married (1) ABEL FOMBELLE (FOMBEL). He was born in France, and died about 1838. She married (2) JOSEPH ZAHLER December 23, 1828 in Zelienople, Jackson township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, son of JOSEPH ZAHLER and MARY DAVIS. He was born August 01, 1809 in Pennsylvania, and died between 1880 and1888 in , Liberty township, Pulaski county, Missouri.

Both "Jane" and Joseph Zahler died in Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pa., according to the Bonzo Folder in the Beaver Falls Carnegie Library. Marriage record from St. Paul's German Lutheran and Reformed Church in Zelienople, Pa. gives her name as "Jannetta". AKA "Charlotte", "Jane" and "Jeannette"
History of Beaver County, 1888, by Warner, page 804 in sketch of Joseph Powell, shows his first marriage to Margaret, daughter of Joseph & Jeannette Zahllar, both deceased.
In the church records of St. Paul's German & Reformed Lutheran Church, Zelienople, PA., her name is Jannetta, Jann and I wonder about Johanna. There is an entry for a child, Johanna born 22 Nov 1823 to Zahler, Joseph & Johanna Bonzon, No. 64 in the Baptismal records. This could be her but if ... his birth date [is] right, he would not have been married to her and would have been about 14 years. old.
ABEL FOMBELLE -- or "Fombell" -- Almost certainly not married to Jeanette Bonzon, Abel was still living when Jeanette married Joseph Zahler.
JOSEPH ZAHLER -- The sister of Joseph Zahler is the first wife of Peter Lewis Bonzo, Margaret Zahler.
CENSUS: 1850, Beaver County, Pa., Microfilm Roll (Nat. Archives) # 750, Page 326, dwelling 302 , family 315 shows Joseph Zahler as 40 years old, laborer,value of real estate $848 born in Pa. with Lewis Zahler age 21, laborer, born Pa & Margaret Zahler age 16 born PA. (Evidently his wife, Jeanette had died by this time)
CENSUS 1860, McDonald Tnsp., Listed with the family of Daniel Stout & Barbary or Barbara, both born in PA. He is listed as a Master Carpenter with land value of $1000 & personal wealth of $200, born in PA. This family is right next door to the family of Joseph Zahller & Margaret.
CENSUS:1880, Liberty Township, Pulaski County, Missouri, shows Joseph Zahllar, age 71, born in Pa.
From St. Paul's German Lutheran and Reformed Church records (Zelienople, PA):
Confirmation on 14 June 1828 (1829?) gives birth as 1 August 1809.
Church records lists another child "Johanna Zahler, b. November 22, 1823" but this is a very early date to be Joseph's child.
