Jean Gabriel is buried at Kronk cemetery (sometimes called Pearl) in Madison Township., Oh., 1 mile from State Rout 335, on White Gravel Road.  Marker says he died 6 Jan., 1871 "in his 76th year."  He is buried beside Mary Powell."

Birth date (could it be christening?) from LDS microfilm for La Sarraz, Vaud Switzerland.  Other records give birth date as 24 August 1799, Vendome, Loir-et-Cher, France and also the death date, citing the John G. and Mary Powell Bonzo family record in possession of great-granddaughter  ... wedding certificate in possession of great-grandson Lyle Bonzo,
Minford, Ohio."  AKA John G. Bonzo. The Pearl Cemetery is the same as the Kronk Cemetery.

From The Portsmouth Times, January 8, 1876:

    Found Dead in His Bed

John Bonzo, an old resident of Madison township, was found dead in his bed last Thursday morning.  He had retired the previous evening in his usual good health, and the surprise was great when his dead body was discovered the next morning.  No inquest was held, but it is believed he died of old age; the lamp of life going out in the dark watches of the night when not even the sleeper suspected the invisible presence of the insatiate archer.
Mr. Bonzo leaves a family of grown up sons and daughters.  In the death of Mr. Bonzo the community has lost an estimable citizen, and the township one of its earnest Democrats.
